A new life sim called Moonstone Island from Raw Fury can surprise you with a variety of activities. The developers combined the genres of pet collection and adventure in their titles. As a result, you will explore various islands filled with various enemies, find and collect Spirits, brew potions, craft items, build, and much more. However, it is still a life sim, so players can make friends with different characters and even go on dates. So, read on to learn how to give gifts and romance in Moonstone Island.
How to Romance in Moonstone Island
Even though Moonstone Island has many different mechanics, the romance feature is one of the simplest. It’s available to you from the very beginning of the game, so you can start building relationships with villagers as soon as you meet them. And here is a list of all romanceable characters:
- Cleo (she/her)
- Zed (he/him)
- Gaiana (she/her)
- Ferra (she/her)
- Ofelia (she/her)
- Quill (he/him)
- Ossono (she/her)
- Paolo (they/them)
- Tobin (he/him)
- Rowan (they/them)
But before you go on a date, you need to first become friends with the character you like. Fortunately, this is very easy to do. Just visit them every day and choose one of three options for chatting:
- Chat
- Joke
- Flirt
Next to each of them the chance of your success is displayed. Initially, Chat and Joke have a higher success rate in Moonstone Island than Flirt. To increase them you just need to increase your friendship level. But the lower the chance, the more friendship points you can get if successful. It is also worth noting that you can increase this chance in several ways.
The first is unlocking a skill that increases the success rate of social interactions. And the second is using a Spirit with the same bonus, such as Fluffox Spirit. Each of the methods will help you improve relations with villagers.
How To Give Gifts in Moonstone Island
Of course, you can give various gifts to your friends or future partners. But you should know that each of the Moonstone Island characters can like some things and hate others. Therefore, you must choose gifts wisely in Moonstone Island:
- Cleo – She loves old things, maps, and artifacts.
- Zed – He loves coffee and flax flowers.
- Gaiana – She loves plants and flowers from other islands.
- Ferra – She loves forged items.
- Ofelia – She likes a lot of different items, except Eggs.
- Quill – He loves hot items and spicy food.
- Ossono – She loves beer and flowers.
- Paolo – They love items crafted from wood.
- Tobin – He loves fish but not all types. For example, he hates zenfish.
- Rowan – They like scary things, like plants from dangerous islands.
How To Go on a Date
As with gifts, you can ask a character out on a date immediately after meeting them in Moonstone Island. However, we do not recommend that you do this, as they will most likely refuse. And the higher you raise the friendship level, the more likely the character will agree to go on a date.
Players can go on dates in three locations to choose from, namely Beach, Tavern, and Hot Spring. There you have to watch a short cutscene and choose one of three suggested answers. Choose wisely, as an inappropriate answer will reduce your friendship level.
After this, you can take your relationship even further and become an official couple in Moonstone Island. But first, you will have to progress in the skill tree to get to the skill that allows you to craft the Moonstone Bracelet. For it, you will need Iron Ingot, Moonstone Enchanter, and 3 Moonstones. And it’s worth noting that this is the only way to get this item. All you have to do is give the Moonstone Bracelet to a villager with a high friendship level. And if they accept the gift, then you will become a couple. As a bonus, you can go on dates with this character in their home.
That’s all you need to know about how to give gifts and romance characters in Moonstone Island. Take your time, and you will become a couple with any of the villagers. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to get and use Treasure Maps in Moonstone Island.
