As you begin your journey into the My Hero Ultra Rumble world, you must learn many unique mechanics and features that you must come to terms with. Without a doubt, offering unique gameplay in the world of battle royales, this game has the potential to attract a large audience. But this fact does not exclude some shortcomings, starting with a server crash problem in the first days of release, which is quite common for new online games, and ending with the lack of cross-play. Regardless, the lack of cross-play doesn’t always negate Cross Progression, but does it do so in My Hero Ultra Rumble? Let’s figure it out.
Cross Progression in My Hero Ultra Rumble
If you’re looking for a short answer, we must say No, My Hero Ultra Rumble does not have cross-progression or cross-save. Although the game was released simultaneously on four platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, it does not offer any cross-progression or progression between these platforms. So, if you play on a PC and want to try the game on a console, you’ll have to start from the beginning. It is a bit disappointing as this could lead to fewer players online in the future and significantly longer matchmaking times.
The bad news is that Bandai Namco Games, the developers of this game, did not implement cross-progression and cross-play in any of their previous games. Of course, we will probably make a mistake when comparing the battle royale My Hero Ultra Rumble and, for example, the fighting game Naruto: Ultimate Ninja. But anyway, this position of the developers may indicate that we should not expect cross-platform gameplay in the future.
On the other hand, this feature is not vital for a game like My Hero Ultra Rumble. Firstly, you only need 24 players to start a match, instead of the hundred we are used to in Fortnite and PABG. This feature ensures that collecting the required number of players will take much less time. Secondly, being a free and very high-quality battle royale game, My Hero Ultra Rumble guarantees, perhaps not a large, but a stable flow of players on all platforms.
All you have to live with is the inability to transfer your progress to another platform and play with friends on other devices. However, these are guesses because developers still may add cross-progression in future updates. Bandai Namco did not confirm this but did not deny it either.
