Post-credits scenes have become increasingly more common thanks to the popularity of superhero films, often including a bonus scene during or after the credits. The Equalizer franchise isn’t as big as many of those, having originated from an 80s television series and recently proved e a reliable franchise for Sony. The previous Equalizer films didn’t have post-credit scenes, so fans aren’t assuming there will be one in the third installment. After all, the studio may want to expand the series by setting up future expansions with a potential post-credit scene.
The Following Contains Spoilers for The Equalizer 3
Is There a Post-Credit Scene in The Equalizer 3?
The Equalizer 3Â features the return of Robert McCall, played by Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington. McCall stays in southern Italy to recover from a serious injury. He gets wrapped up in protecting his new friends from criminals from the Camorra, the Italian Mafia. He teams up with a CIA agent named Emma Collins to stop the Camorra.
There is no post-credit scene in The Equalizer 3. The film ends with McCall successfully killing the Quaranta brothers, high-ranking members of the Camorra. Collins returns to the USA and receives a promotion, while McCall stays behind in Italy to celebrate with the locals over a football game.
The Equalizer 3Â doesn’t hint about any continuation of the franchise. Nonetheless, the movie had a solid opening weekend of $68 million at the global box office. Sony will likely produce a continuation of the franchise, either with a fourth film or other media outlet.

The Equalizer films have always been standalone features, with each new film focusing on a new mission for McCall to resolve. Other than McCall himself, no storyline connects the movie series. Sony doesn’t need a post-credit scene to foreshadow a fourth film, as a fourth film can always come up with a new conflict and enemies for McCall to face.
