When it comes to designing different side quests, CD Projekt Red did an amazing job in creating unique Gigs. One of these Gigs is in the Phantom Liberty expansion that goes by the name of Waiting For Dodger. This is a gig that is best completed in stealth; therefore, a little bit of help and guidance can make the quest easier for you. Here is how to complete Waiting For Dodger and all its rewards in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Mr. Hands will contact you to give a brief of the gig. Once his call is done, approach the marked car and get inside to meet Stella. She is the girlfriend of one of the officers you set to rescue. She will give you information on Charles and Bill and the person that’s after them, Dodger. Once the conversation with her is over, the location will be marked on your mini-map and it is just across the street.
How to Find Bill and Charles in Waiting For Dodger
It is best to avoid bloodshed for the most part of this quest. When you enter, two officers will be in the booth. You have to wait a few seconds until one of the officers’ leaves and only one remains in the booth. Sneak behind and grab him, drag him to the little corridor behind the booth. Then you must kill and hide the body in the closet. Left to the closet will be a door that you can access to the next hall.
In this room, there will be three officers. The best approach here is to distract and pass through them. You can modify the monitor or loudspeaker to distract the officers and then pass through them. In case your build is based on Sandevistan, your job will be much harder since all of the officers are close to each other.
In this hall, your target is to reach the elevator on the left side. If you have the leg cyberwar of double jump or high jump, you can easily jump over the shelf on the left and use the elevator. Otherwise, you have to either kill or sneak behind everyone, and use the lift to go down.
When the elevator door opens, you will see an enemy in front of you. Grab, kill, and hide the body on the dumpster on the right side. Then interacts with the door to open it and meets Charles who is covered in blood. He will lead you to another room and you will meet Bill as well.
Sneak Out of The Building With Bill and Charles
When you meet both Bill and Charles they will give you the whole story of why Dodger is behind them. When you listen to them you truly realize why Night City is doomed with these police officers. Once they stop arguing, it is time to head out. You will use the stairs to go down and have to wait for a few seconds until Bill opens the door.
As soon as the door opens, a guy will appear. The best strategy you must take is to first disable the camera and then approach the enemy before he turns around. Same as before, you have to kill and hide the body in the dumpster. Next, you will reach a door that is locked. In order to open it, simply follow the big chunk of electrical cable on the floor. You will reach another room and override the circuit to open the door.
There will be two officers in this room and Bill’s clumsiness will alert them. You can do two things here. Use the drinker dispenser to distract the enemy and then kill him from behind. Or you can hide behind the shelf, and when the opportunity arises, grab and finish him off. Then you must go to the next room with three more officers.
The best order to take care of them is to start from the left. You must take out the officer on the left that is near to you, then the one in front of you, and lastly the one on the right corner. With that, you are free of officers for now. Get inside the garage to get the car and Dodger comes out of nowhere.
Should You Lie to Dodger in Waiting for Dodger in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty?
When Dodger himself arrives to speak with you all, Bill will come up with some stupid story that Dodger doesn’t buy. Then you have three options: Lie, encourage Bill to tell the truth, or attack them straight away. The consequences of lying to Dodger or straight-up attacking him are the same. That’s because Dodger doesn’t like it when someone lies to him.
On the other hand, if you encourage our NCPD officers to say what truly happens, Dodger will let you three go, but there is a catch. You must have slipped by unnoticed. If you cause havoc and there are bodies everywhere, then Dodger won’t forgive and starts attacking you.
The best rewards you can get in this mission is for killing Dodger. That is because you will earn his Tier 4 Iconic revolver called Rosco. It has a 150% Headshot Damage Multiplayer, 50% Crit Damage, and 25% Armor Penetration. Once Dodger is flatlined, loot his body to grab this revolver. Then Bill and Charles will take their car and leave.
Mr. Hands will contact you again to say that the contract is closed. You will be rewarded with $8,000 Eddies and 1,355 EXP.
