Named after the famous coming-of-age movie, Dazed and Confused directed by Richard Linklater is a side-quest in Phantom Liberty. You will trigger this quest by replying to Mr. Hands, one of the many fixers in the game. He will ask you to help a client with recording a BD with Lina Malina that seems to be missing.

After you’ve replied to Mr. Hands and taken the job, a marker will tell you to head towards the BD shop called Brainporium. Once you got there, as Johnny explained, it’s quite a mess. Head downstairs to meet two gentlemen and speak with them. Shank, the guy on the right, will suggest you go upstairs to continue their conversation.

The guy you are talking to is named Tool and he will explain to you what happened and ask you to persuade the real Malina to record the BD. As you go on the the situation gets more confusing, as the name of the quest suggests. The tool will give you the location of her house and now you have to go there and speak with Miss Malina.

Once you arrive at her house, two goons will be sitting on the stairs. They will prevent you from going to the house. You can either speak with them and convince them to leave or choose violence and kill both of them. After you’ve dealt with them, you have to knock a couple of times until you realize that Malina is not home. So sit tight on the chair near the door and wait till she arrives.

After you’ve spoken with her and said everything about the BD, she will straight up say wants 10,000 Credits upfront as well. If you have the money, give it and then you are good to go. If you don’t then you have to find that money by selling stuff, completing gigs, or however you want and then wire it to her.

Once you pay Lina Malina the required amount, she will arrive the day after that. In the meantime, you can complete other quests or use your inventory menu to fast forward the time. The next day Shank will call and ask you to come to the shooting to resolve some problems. So you have to go back to the Brainporium and solve the situation between Tool and Malina.

You can fix the situation by directing the BD yourself. So sit on the chair and start directing the BD. Once the recording is done, Shank will thank you and Malina will leave Brainporium. Later on, Malina will send you a text to thank you and say that she has sent you a gift. You can find the gift on the counter by the entrance. It is a Tier 5 Iconic Two-Handed Club named Baby Boomer.

Once you get the gift, the Dazed and Confused quest will be completed. We are publishing new guides and articles on Phantom Liberty every day, so make sure you check our website for more content.
