How To Get to the Fortress of Meropide in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact: Unlock Fortress of Meropide through the Archon Quest
If you have progressed to Chapter 4 of the game, Act 3 will enable the Archon quest. The main objective will be to investigate the exact location of Childe in the Fortress of Meropide. You can enter the underwater prison through a lift behind the Epiclese Opera House. Pay attention when you reach the lift. Neuvillette will open the door that will lead you directly into the depths. Locking the teleport link at that location is advisable to move quickly.
Genshin Impact: Infiltrate Unlock of Fortress Meropide
Maybe you’ve not yet unlocked Fontaine’s Archon Quests and do not have the convenient option of having someone unlock the prison for you. In that case, head to the sea area of the Fortress of Meropide. Note the exact location of the Liffey Lighthouse. You will find a direct passage to the Fortress of Meropide on the southern end of the underwater route,
East of the searchlights, you will find an underwater tunnel and swim through the tunnel. Continue along the path until you reach the end and ascend towards land. Once you enter the aquatic wilderness, you will find the Administrative Area. Take a walk nearby, and you will immediately see Galvana, a security guard, arrest you and send you to prison.
Genshin Impact: Unlock Fortress of Meropide By Getting Caught
Finally, you can head for the teleport point at Mont Esus East. Once there, dive into the sea and become easy prey. Get in front of the searchlight and let yourself be seen. You will know everything went well when the searchlight turns red. The game will give you a range of time to escape but expect to be teleported directly to the Fortress of Meropide. If you choose this option, you will go through the uncomfortable interrogation of Ms. Monglane.

If you manage to enter the underwater prison by the 2nd and 3rd option, don’t wait for the teleport beacons to appear to activate them on the map. If so, you must complete the prison’s Unfinished Comedy quest sequence to get them.
