As you progress through the plot of the Phantom Liberty DLC, you will meet many new NPCs, and the decision regarding their fate can be very ambiguous. Of course, while protecting President Myers, you’ll be on your guard. After all, you have survived many dangers during this mission. Therefore, two armed men entering your shelter without warning will force you to reload your weapon. However, do not rush to shoot because this is not the only solution. Sparing or killing Jacob and Taylor in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has minor consequences, which we’ll cover below.

To answer the question from a story perspective, killing Jacob & Taylor in Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t make any difference. These guys accidentally entered your hideout and will not shoot until you provoke them. But fortunately, you and the president will remain alive regardless of your decision.

However, if you do not follow the path of bloodshed, we advise you not to shoot at guests. Of course, the frightened president will urge you to kill them, but you can go against her cries and get bonuses.

What Happens if You Kill Jacob and Taylor

If you decide to kill the guests, you won’t have much trouble doing so. To do this, you just need to start shooting at them or get close enough to them so that they perceive it as a threat and open fire. However, Jacob and Taylor are relatively weak, so you will win quickly. But all you get as a reward is a double-barrel shotgun and some money. However, you will also get a unique scene of you and the president pulling corpses into the garbage chute.

What Happens if You Spare Jacob and Taylor?

On the other hand, you can believe that Jacob and Taylor came here by accident. In this case, you should choose calmer versions of the dialogue and don’t get too close to the guys until you have become friends. This option ensures that you and the president will be safe. In addition, you will see Jacob and Taylor more than once in the future. They will be friendly towards you and even tell you some helpful information. So friendship with them is a little more profitable than their death.
