When Netflix debuted its animated adaptation of Castlevania last July, no would have guessed how good it would really be. On the flip side, no one could have imagined it’d only be four episodes too! Four episodes were certainly not enough after fans sunk their teeth into the Netflix adaptation, as they have eagerly been awaiting more news ever since.
While there is no guarantee that it will occur, many believe that the season two trailer for Castlevania will be coming at Anime Expo 2018, which occurs July 5 – July 8. The Expo’s official website revealed that Castlevania producer Adi Shankar is slated to present. In the description, it states he will reveal “a first look at the second season of the hit series Castlevania.” The only caveat is that the actual release date likely won’t be this month.
In recent Facebook post, Shankar responded to a fan’s question of a release date for the 2nd season, stated that it won’t air in July.
Show writer Warren Ellis confirmed that there is no concrete release date for the second season yet, but stated they were working hard on it and would give plenty of warning ahead of time regarding the release. Despite the fact that it won’t air in July, Ellis did share the good news that the sophomore season will be two times as long as the first.

While season 2 has yet to even launch, the series has already been confirmed for a third on Netflix. The news comes following a recent interview between Digital Spy and Richard Armitage, who voices the character Trevor Belmont.
“We’re about to record a third,” Armitage revealed. “The second season hasn’t been aired yet, but we’re about to do a third.”
