New renders of the highly anticipated iPhone 15 Pro Max have recently surfaced, showing a slightly larger rear camera bump. The renders were sourced from a leaked CAD drawing from an accessory producer and were shared on Twitter by user “ShrimpApplePro” over the weekend. While the exact accuracy of the measurements is up for debate, the leaker claims the camera bump is 5% bigger than the one found on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Other leakers have suggested that the bump may be thinner than the previous model.
iPhone 15 Pro Max Will Come With a Larger Camera
In addition to the camera bump, the leaker commented on some “weird objects” on top of the solid-state volume buttons. These objects are considered conductive padding, enabling full gesture or action sensitivity when fused to phone cases. The same padding is reportedly included in the iPhone 15 and Plus models, indicating that solid-state buttons may be included across the range.

While the CAD drawings from accessory makers are sometimes accurate, they are often based on leaks and rumors and may not necessarily reflect the actual data sourced from Apple or its supply chain. Nonetheless, these renders offer an excellent guide to what to expect from Apple’s upcoming fall launch.
It’s worth noting that the new iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to boast several other updates, including a new A16 chip, 5G capability, and improved battery life. The phone is also rumored to feature a smaller notch and possibly an under-display fingerprint scanner. With the new camera bump and solid-state buttons, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is shaping up to be another highly anticipated release from Apple. Fans and tech enthusiasts will have to wait until the official launch to get a closer look and see how the new features perform in real-world use. The bumped camera size started being horrifying. The current generation iPhone already has a big one, so we hope to see a better design.
