Amazon has today joined its competitor Cloud servers in the Generative AI race by releasing a free Amazon CodeWhisperer. This tool is one of the two AI code bot generators Amazon plans to offer programmers willing to develop their own chatbots. This move is set to keep Amazon on top of the ladder on cloud service provision against its major competitors, Microsoft and Google.

Tech buzz today has been surrounding the global Cloud top provider, Amazon news today to join the AI world. In the announcement, Amazon said they would not be creating a chatbot themselves. Instead, they will provide two AI languages that should allow developers to develop their own chatbots.
According to Adam Selipksy, The CEO of Amazon Web Services (CEO), the company aims to allow developers to build AI solutions. In an interview today, Selipksy said;
“Many customers are intently interested in generative AI solutions. I would say in most of my customer conversations now questions about generative AI are coming up, with a leading question being, ‘When are we going to be able to get the solutions that we want?’”
For this reason, Amazon decided to join the Generative AI race in a somehow unique way. Several specialists have recently called out Google and Microsoft on their chatbots, providing erroneous results. Advantageously, this experimental chatbot system will give Amazon a push to remain ahead.
At the time, Amazon shared three Generative AI tools that would be running on the AWS cloud system. These tools include:
- Amazon Bedrock:- offers developers an easy way to build and scale generative AI apps using FMS.
- Amazon EC2 Trn1rn and EC2 Inf2.
- Amazon CodeWhisperer
CodeWhisperer is trained on billions of lines of code and can generate code suggestions ranging from snippets to full functions in real time based on your comments and existing code. Bypass time-consuming coding tasks and accelerate building with unfamiliar APIs.
Finally, Amazon has joined the AI tech industry and is hitting with a blast. It has already released several tools, including Amazon CodeWhisperer giving developers free resources to build their own generative AI applications under AWS.
