Scarlett Johansson was on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Podcast recently, and the actress shared a reunion moment with her co-star Bill Murray. The “Lost In Translation” star recalled reuniting with him years after their film.
Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray made “Lost In Translation” an epic film to watch. The 2003 production took the co-stars to Tokyo. It was a love story and comedy that showed Murray suffering a midlife crisis. However, in the film, when he travels to Asia to market a whiskey, he meets with Johansson, a college graduate. Eventually, their struggles make them inseparable.
Since filming, the pair has advanced their careers, even though they are yet to work on another feature together. The actress’s films include “The Prestige,” “Captain Marvel,” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” On the other hand, Murray has starred in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” The actor, who has been accused of sexual misconduct through the years, is currently working on “Being Mortal.”
During an appearance on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop podcast, Scarlett Johansson chronicled a reunion with Bill Murray. This reunion occurred years ago, and over a decade after, they starred side by side. Yet it is still fresh in her mind.

Scarlett Johansson on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Podcast: “I had to walk out. I was like, ‘It’s Bill!”
Scarlett Johansson’s Bill Murray reunion tale shared on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Goop Podcast showed that she missed the actor. The “Black Widow” star mentioned that she lost touch with Murray after filming “Lost In Translation.”
But more than a decade later, the unexpected happened. Johansson had a date with her former lover in a bar, and as they entered the venue, she sighted Murray. He was the only one in the bar. In her words:
“It was so weird. I walked in, and I saw him sitting there — nobody else there — and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I had to walk out. I was like, ‘It’s Bill! I haven’t seen him in so long.'”
Despite having lost contact, they did a little catching up. Like Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray was also surprised to see his former co-star. The 38-year-old described their chit-chat as “therapeutic.”
The two-time Oscar nominee told Paltrow about their filming experience. She could resonate with Murray’s state of mind at the time. Like Murray, who is prepping for a new film, Johansson has her hands full. The actress has been busy filming “The Jungle Book 2,” “Asteroid City,” and “Little Shop of Horrors.”
