A new Avengers Unlimited story arc is putting Captain America and Iron Man at odds once again. The Infinity Comic brings the two superheroes into a new undercover mission titled “Civil Score.” Kicking off in Avengers Unlimited #52, “Civil Score” sees Captain America and Iron Man going after the same target. However, the history between the two Avengers will likely get in the way of getting the job done. Plus, other interested parties are waiting to swoop in. This three-part arc will release weekly on Tuesdays in the Marvel Unlimited app.
Captain America And Iron Man At It Again
Captain America and Iron Man have quite the history. As two of Marvel’s oldest and most popular heroes, the two are often working together. However, they are both competitive and stubborn, meaning they are often in opposition. Look at the “Civil War” story from which this new arc takes its title.
This time, Steve Rogers is on a seek-and-destroy mission requiring him to go undercover. Little does Captain America know Tony Stark is on the same mission. Will they work together to get the job done, or will they get in each other’s way? It is safe to say that their competitiveness will cause a problem or two.
A First Look
Marvel offers a first look at “Civil Score” before the whole issue drops on the Marvel Unlimited app. The sneak peek shows Steve Rogers in a dashing tux at a party. When a woman approaches him, he introduces himself as “Darrel Whitaker,” a crypto billionaire. As this woman flirts with “Darrel,” she introduces him to her new friend Tony. That Tony turns out to be Tony Stark, who thinks aliases are unnecessary undercover.
Sadly, that is where the preview ends. But it sure looks like some fun times are in for Captain America and Iron Man. Or should I say, Tony and Darrel.
