DC Comics and Spotify are joining forces to bring listeners a new audio series that brings Batman and The Riddler on the same side. The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark is a collaboration between DC, Spotify, and Warner Bros. The eight-episode audio series follows The Dark Knight as he tries to stop a vigilante from killing Gotham’s most notorious villains. However, to do that, he will need the help of none other than Edward Nygma. Who better to help Batman solve a mystery as deadly as this one?
DC Comics and Spotify Give a Voice To Gotham
The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark follows The Riddler’s point-of-view as this mystery unfolds. Bringing Edward Nygma, AKA The Riddler, to life in this new audio is Hasan Minhaj. The actor has experience with Nygma, having voiced the role in last year’s Batman Unburied series. Joining Minhaj is Euphoria actor Colman Domingo, who picks up the cowl as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Also returning from Batman Unburied is Gina Rodriguez’ Barbara Gordon, Jason Isaacs’ Pennyworth, Ashly Burch’s Vicki Vale, and Kim Pirri’s Arnold Flass. Meanwhile, newcomers Hannah Simone and Calum Worthy join the cast as Nadira Newmar and The Messenger.
The Riddler: Secrets In The Dark
The story told in The Riddler: Secrets In The Dark is a classic Batman mystery. The Dark Knight is suspected of committing these heinous acts of “justice” throughout Gotham. When The Riddler hears about the vigilante hunting down villains, he decides to bust out of Arkham Asylum. However, this leads him on a path to teaming up with Batman, whether he wants to or not. Now, the two must work together to stop from becoming the next victim in this vigilante’s particular brand of justice. However, can Batman work with his often-times enemy long enough to solve this case? And is The Riddler hiding anything up his green sleeves?
The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark kicks off on October 10 on Spotify.
