When Real Housewives of Beverly Hills joined the Real Housewives franchise in 2010, it brought a whole new vibe that was different from what fans had seen in the other versions of the franchise. RHOBH chronicles the personal and professional lives of some of the most affluent women in Beverly Hills and has featured some big names over the years, including Lisa Rinna, Kim and Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, and Adrienne Maloof, among others.
Since RHOBH premiered in 2010, it has become one of the most-watched series within the franchise, thanks to the unique interactions between the cast members. The eccentric personalities of each cast member have also led to several unforgettable fights, which produced some iconic one-liners. No other show within the Real Housewives franchise has produced as many one-liners as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
One particular episode in season 5 of the show that featured a feisty fight among the cast members quickly went down in history as including the most hilarious lines exchanged amongst the women. As usual, whenever drama or a funny quote is dropped, child actress Kim is always at the center of it all. In a Reddit thread, the show’s fans dubbed Kim the queen of the one-liners while also listing the most iconic lines from RHOBH.
“Why Don’t You Have a Piece of Bread, and Maybe You’ll Calm Down a Little”
Some of the funniest lines on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills came during an Amsterdam dinner fight during season 5. In this episode, the housewives traveled to Yolanda Hadid’s native Netherlands. A massive fight ensued during a night out after Lisa Rinna had pushed Kim’s buttons one too many times.
The whole dinner soon turned chaotic as the ladies exchanged veiled swipes, led by the usual culprit, Kim. Lisa Vanderpump and Yolanda watched as tensions escalated between Kim and Kyle Richards. However, Lisa unexpectedly got caught in the crossfire. After Kim accused her sister of not having her back, Lisa quickly tried to disprove the statement and further cautioned Kim about her tone and words. However, Kim was having none of it and immediately shut her down by saying,
“Why don’t you have a piece of bread, and maybe you’ll calm down a little?”
Although the line successfully shut Lisa up, albeit temporarily, it has become a permanent meme online due to its ridiculousness. Over the years, it has been used in posts by fans as a reaction image to different situations.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Kim’s Line “Let’s Talk About the Husband”
The whole drama during the dinner started with Kim and Lisa, who rarely see eye-to-eye. Lisa sparked the feud when she talked about Kim losing her sister to an alcohol and drug overdose. The topic of her discussion was very sensitive for Kim. Things then spiraled out of control when Lisa apologized to Kim for getting into her business in the past. The latter said Lisa should be more concerned about her home.
Earlier in the season, Lisa had briefly mentioned her husband, Harry Hamlin’s sobriety. So, it was clear Kim’s statement was a jibe at Lisa’s husband. Later, Kim mentioned Lisa’s husband again, but she didn’t hold back this time as she spitefully said,
“Let’s talk about the husband. Let’s not talk about what you don’t want out there.”
The room briefly became heated as Lisa angrily reacted by pouring the contents of her wine glass on Kim’s face. She then smashed the glass and attempted to choke the former child star. Kim’s ambiguous statement left everyone puzzled, and Lisa’s reaction intensified the curiosity surrounding the situation. However, Kim admitted to fabricating the story during the reunion episode to rile Lisa up.
“At Least I Don’t Do Crystal Meth in the Bathroom All Night Long, B***h”
During a game night in season 2, the Richards sisters confronted Brandi Glanville, resulting in a fiery altercation between the trio. The trouble started when Kyle stirred the bees’ nest by casting aspersions about Brandi’s parenting skills. She mentioned how Kim’s son peed on the lawn during Adrienne’s pool party. Brandi, seemingly not up for a fight, tried to make light of Kyle’s statement.
The RHOBH star downplayed the situation, saying she didn’t think it was too big. However, Kyle didn’t back down and took another jibe at Brandi when she said, “You probably wouldn’t where you’re from.” This finally struck a nerve for Brandi, and she completely went off on Kyle and Kim for several minutes, dropping one carefully constructed insult after the other on the Richards sisters. However, things took an unexpected turn when she swiped at Kim:
“At least I don’t do crystal meth in the bathroom all night long… bitch!”
The other housewives had to step between the duo before things got physical. Brandi’s clap back remains one of the most iconic quotes from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Camille’s Line “The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick”
Faye Resnick may not be one of the housewives, but she has managed to carve a niche for herself as a “friend of” Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from the show’s first season. Rarely do “friends of” make such a big impression as Faye. However, her unique personality and cumbersome history made her an indispensable asset to the show.
Faye’s part during the OJ Simpson trial had always haunted her and dealt her a quick reality check when she debuted on RHOBH season 1. She was introduced to the housewives during a dinner party, where Camille Grammer infamously asked, “Who is Faye? I know she looks familiar, but I don’t know who Faye is.” Almost immediately, Camille appeared to feign an epiphany when she remembered Faye’s face from her spread in Playboy shortly after the OJ Simpson trial. She then exclaimed,
“I realized, ‘Oh my God, that’s who it is; it’s Faye Resnick,’ the morally corrupt Faye Resnick.”
“The morally corrupt Faye Resnick” became a fan-favorite catchphrase, gaining popularity to the point of being sold as merchandise. However, Faye swiftly threatened legal action against the Bravo blogger who was the inspiration behind the “morally corrupt” merchandise.
“Were People Doing Coke in Your Bathroom?”
The housewives of Beverly Hills are always spoiling for a fight whenever they go on a group trip. During a trip to Hong Kong in the 2017 season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit Kemsley was getting a lot of heat from her fellow housewives. First, Erika Girardi poked fun at her for not wearing panties underneath a tiny dress she wore to DailyMail.com’s star-studded bash. Later, a significant confrontation ensued between Lisa Rinna and Dorit when the latter threw a thinly veiled dig at Dorit while referencing a dinner party at her house. Lisa bizarrely asked,
“Were people doing coke in your bathroom?”
While defending her statement, Lisa recalled how everyone simultaneously got up from the table to go to the bathroom during the dinner party. Unsurprisingly, Lisa’s statement didn’t sit well with Dorit. The two got into a significant row while Kyle Richards slammed Lisa for making such a heated comment. The statement has since become one of the most iconic one-liners from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills franchise. Most of the show’s fans find it almost impossible to let it out of their memory.
