Ready your green thumb as Prison Architect is going green in its newest expansion. Called Prison Architect: Going Green, it is your usual prison management simulator mixed with farming. But don’t be fooled; since this is a prison, a lot can go wrong from gangs occupying a portion of the farm to you, growing “secret herbs,” and producing contrabands. Build the ultimate self-sustaining prison coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2021.
Prison Architect: Going Green allows you and the other prisoners to grow your own produce and make a self-sustaining compound. Aside from that, this latest installment from Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven will make you construct green energy sources aside from produce.
Some of the game’s inmates are crafty. These prisoners will seize the opportunity and produce thematic contraband. With this in hand, you have to get ready for the challenge of keeping the prison under control.
Going Green continues Prison Architect’s history of riffing off popular prison fiction seen in movies, TV, and other media. This will be the third Prison Architect expansion we will have launched since Paradox took over the IP in 2019 and we can’t wait to see your latest creations, – Steacy McIlwham, Product Manager, Prison Architect
If you’re already familiar with the Prison Architect game series, Going Green has new key features. Farming is the newest prison labor, and the inmates can now grow potatoes, wheat, apples, and more. These products can either be exported or used as ingredients for prisoner meals.
With Prison Architect Going Green, which is set to launch this January 28, the team will also release brand new free content. Named as the Glasshouse, it will add additional items and objects such as quick rooms, community improvement, and top-notch employees.
