We are a little more than a month out from the Wednesday Netflix series, and at New York Comic Con on Saturday (October 8), we got a look at Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester through a new trailer. The new footage also closely examines its characters and the Nevermore Academy.
The teen drama twist of The Addams Family shows Jenna Ortega, who plays the titled protagonist, catching up with Fred Armisen as her Uncle Fester. He surprises her in the woods as they join together to learn about odd happenings going on at her school. The series will also follow her as she learns more about her psychic abilities and deals with all the typical teen drama one would expect at her age.

The trailer sets things up to prepare fans for its November release. The rest of the family is rounded out with Gomez (Luis Guzmán) and Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), her parents. The latest footage shows not only Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester but also get introduced to Christina Ricci as a Nevermore staff member, Ms. Thornhill. The rest of the cast will include Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, Jamie McShane, and Joy Sunday.
Fred Armisen continues his strong career as a character actor with Uncle Fester. This year, he was also in Our Flag Means Death, Clerks III, Documentary Now!, and Big Mouth. His notable projects include Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Schmigadoon!
Tim Burton will executive produce and direct all eight episodes. Filmmaking duo known for Smallville and Into the Badlands, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, created the series. It served as the show’s showrunners, main writers, and executive produced the upcoming Wednesday Netflix series.
The Wednesday Netflix series hits the streaming platform on November 23.
