Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Will Be Very Different From its Predecessors
The official synopsis for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts reads as, returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on the ’90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. The cast for the upcoming highly-anticipated film includes Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Anthony Ramos as Noah, Dominique Fishback as Elena, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Pete Davidson as Mirage, Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, David Sobolov as Rhinox, Peter Dinklage as Scourge, Liza Koshy as Arcee, John DiMaggio as Stratosphere, Michaela Jae Rodriguez as Nightbird, and Cristo Fernandez as Wheeljack. The film is also set to be the first installment in a planned trilogy directly from Paramount Pictures. Recently, the official runtime was revealed to be 1 hour and 57 minutes.
Speaking to Total Film Magazine, director Steven Caple Jr. revealed more insights about the upcoming film and its villains: The film’s main villains, the Terrorcons, he says, are “ruthless” – especially the trophy-hunting Scourge, who is voiced by Peter Dinklage. “I like to pour a lot into the villains. I like to make them layered and dimensional,”. Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura also described Scourge as a nightmare: “He really has no purpose in life other than destruction.”
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is currently scheduled to release on June 9th, only in theaters.
