Cryptids are the special monsters found throughout Appalachia in Fallout 76. These monsters make you question what you just saw, like when you see a sheep-sasquatch hybrid. Odds are, these creatures have made you do a double-take or two. There are eight cryptids in the game, from the humble little aliens to the vicious Wendigo, and they will often challenge your survival skills. Recently, Bethesda unveiled that two more cryptids will be joining the bunch later this year. Word has spread, and it seems that the question as to what these cryptids might have been solved. So what are the next cryptids coming to Fallout 76?
Upcoming Fallout 76 Cryptids
The devs at Bethesda revealed an image on the official Fallout Twitter page with two silhouetted figures, revealing the new cryptids in a “Who’s that Pokémon” style game. The two figures are quite menacing and will definitely be good additions to the roster of cryptids already in the game. The question still remains about what new creatures await survivors in the future. After some careful searching, it seems we may have figured out what everyone can expect to see.
The first figure we are going to focus on is the one on the left card in the image. This one is a bit more obvious than the other. Its description reads, “creature with needle-like teeth, hooked claws, & a horrifying howl that greets the moonlight.” We think that it is obvious that this creature is none other than a lycanthrope or werewolf. These creatures love the moon and only come out when it is full. This also makes sense since the next update is titled “Once in a Blue Moon.”
