Silo has been renewed for season 2 at Apple TV+, Variety reported. The Rebecca Ferguson-led series debuted on the streaming service on May 5. It became a nearly instant hit for the streamer, delivering its renewal before episode eight, which arrives on June 16. The series is based on Hugh Howey’s Wool trilogy of novels. With that source material and the success of the adaption, it was not a surprise to see that Silo was renewed for season 2. The books started as an online, self-published story, then found an audience that led to the publishing of the novels: Wool, Shift, and Dust.
The show became such a hit it landed as the biggest drama series, according to Nielsen (via Deadline). Between the adaption of the Howey novel, Ted Lasso season 3, The Last Thing He Told Me, and Shrinking, Apple TV+ viewership went up 147% this year.
