Marvel is offering a glimpse at the mayhem awaiting the X-Men in a new Fall of X trailer. The highly anticipated event is just a little over a month away, kicking off in July’s X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023 #1. With this new action-packed trailer, Marvel is truly asking if the mutant oasis of Krakoa can really last forever. If the group of supervillains calling themselves Orchis have anything to do with it, Krakoa’s time is just about up.
Know Thy Enemy
As mutant-kind prepares for another Hellfire Gala, their enemies plot a full-scale assault. Nimrod, Omega Sentinel, Moira MacTaggert, Feilong, and other anti-mutant villains ban together. Calling themselves Orchis, this villainous group has a plan to destroy Krakoa once and for all. And what better time to attack than during the mutant’s biggest event when they are all in one place. This could truly be the Fall of X as we know it.
This new Fall of X trailer shows off the Orchis group as they launch their devastating attack. Highlighting both the enemy and mutants in never-before-seen artwork from the upcoming issue.
Fall of X Trailer
The Fall of X trailer puts the spotlight on Orchis’ attack during the Hellfire Gala. However, while the attack is devastating, the aftermath offers a glimmer of hope. It turns out that the X-Men have survived the onslaught. Although they are now scattered across the planet and even beyond. Now, the fight for survival begins, and the fate of Krakoa lies in the hands of the mutants fighting back against those who wish them dead.
Marvel promises that the Fall of X will bring “bold developments” to everyone’s favorite mutant heroes. It will also take them in shocking directions, ushering in a “thrilling and unpredictable period of X-Men storytelling.” While the Fall of X trailer is just a small taste of what awaits, the event promises to bring “new arcs of continuing X-Titles and limited series” as a new era for mutants begins.
It all begins in X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023 #1 on July 26.
