Jason Momoa rides onto the big screen soon as we get a look at his villain in the Fast X trailer (seen below). The penultimate Fast & Furious movie is revving to crash into theaters on May 19.
The Fast X trailer sees Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and the rest of the family face off against the new baddies, the cyberterrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron) and Dante (Jason Momoa). The crew will be joined by a new ally, Tess (Brie Larson). The family will have to save a kidnapped Brian (Leo Abelo Perry) from the motorcycle-riding Dante. Not much is known about the villains, but there are likely to be tied to the previous films to maintain the explosive world that has been built for the last 20 years.
The footage gives a few surprises, along with characters already announced to be making an appearance. We see Dom’s grandmother (Rita Moreno). We all see the return of Dom’s brother, Jakob (John Cena). Jason Statham will return as Deckard Shaw, who we last saw in the after-credit scene in F9 and his spinoff with Dwayne Johnson, Hobbs & Shaw. Alongside the already-mentioned new faces, we will also see Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchoir, and Alan Ritchson. The Fast X trailer sees plenty of the regulars, like Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Scott Eastwood.

The franchise has evolved to have an explosive personality since its 2001 inception. Since then, the films have grossed $6.6 billion worldwide. Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious have grossed the most, with $1.5 billion from the seventh entry and the eighth grossing $1.2 billion.
Longtime Fast & Furious director Justin Lin wrote the screenplay with Dan Mazeau. He parted ways from helming the film and was replaced by Louis Leterrier. The new director makes his Furious debut but is known for films like The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans, and Now You See Me.
