What is Latias’ Weakness in Pokemon GO?

Pokemon Go Latias Weaknesses

Since Latias is a Dragon and Psychic-type Pokemon, there are numerous types it is weak to. Each type deals a total of 160% damage to Latias during combat. Latias’ weaknesses include the following types in Pokemon GO:

  • Bug-type
  • Dark-type
  • Dragon-type
  • Fairy-type
  • Ghost-type
  • Ice-type

With so many types being effective against Latias, there are also numerous Pokemon you can use against it. While there are many choices to choose from, the following are some examples of Pokemon and movesets that deal considerable damage to Latias during battles in Pokemon GO:

  1. Glaceon: Frost Breath and Avalanche
  2. Tyranitar: Bite and Crunch
  3. Gengar: Lick and Shadow Ball
  4. Scizor: Fury Cutter and X-Scissor
  5. Clefable: Charm and Dazzling Gleam
  6. Garchomp: Dragon Tail and Outrage

Multiple types are ineffective against Latias. Each type deals a total of 63% damage to Latias during battles, making them far less useful than the six types listed above. Latias is resistant to the following types in Pokemon GO:

  • Electric-type
  • Fighting-type
  • Fire-type
  • Grass-type
  • Psychic-type
  • Water-type

The movesets of each Pokemon listed above help determine their strength against Latias. For example, while Tyranitar’s Dark-type moves are effective against Latias, other movesets options include Rock-type moves such as Smack Down and Stone Edge. Additionally, while the Pokemon above are some examples of ones you can use in battle against Latias, you can use others with any of the above-listed move types.
