Niantic has released the schedule for the Pokémon GO Battle League: Season of Light. Season 12 brings several new events and rewards to look forward to. GO Battle League: Season of Light will feature the Psychic Cup, the Weather Cup, and the Halloween Cup: Ultra League Edition.
Pokémon GO Season 12: Rewards, Events, and Start Time
In Pokémon GO, Seasons are periods that feature new events, Pokémon debuts, and surprises that all follow a certain theme. And now, Season of Light for GO Battle League has arrived. The timetable for the upcoming three months is jam-packed with PvP content. One of the first events we will get to play in the Season of Light is the Psychic Cup.
Season of Light Schedule
Season 12 will include at least one of the three regular leagues and a themed Cup each week. Remixes will also provide fresh ways to play previous Cups that went live.
- September 1 – September 8: Great League, Little Jungle Cup Remix
- September 8 – September 15: Great League, Psychic Cup
- September 15 – September 22: Ultra League, Weather Cup
- September 22 – September 29: Ultra League, Ultra Premier Classic

Season of Light Rewards
You gain experience in the GO Battle League after each set of five matches, depending on how many wins you had. The following Pokémons can only be found at the specified rankings once per Season.
Guaranteed Rank-up Encounters:
- Level 1 – Pinsir
- Level 6 – Mienfoo
- Ace Rank – Axew
- Veteran Rank – Noibat
- Expert Rank – Goomy
- Legend Rank – Pikachu Libre
Standard Encounters:
- Level 1 – Poliwag, Wingull, Meditite, Woobat, Litwick
- Level 6 – Skarmory, Frillish, Mienfoo
- Level 11 – Onix, Lickitung, Hitmontop, Ralts, Phantump
- Level 16 – Espeon, Umbreon, Miltank
- Level 20 – Five-Star Raid Boss

Also, Pikachu Libre avatar items will be rewarded to Trainers who reach Rank 3. You will earn an Elite Charged TM at rank 19 and an Elite Fast TM as a season-ending bonus.
GO Battle Day: Guzma
Bonuses
- 4x Stardust from win rewards.
- The maximum number of sets you can play per day will be increased from five to 20 for 100 battles from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM local time.

GO Battle Day: Miltank
A GO Battle Day features Miltank, the Milk Cow Pokémon, on November 6, 2022.
Bonuses

- The maximum number of sets you can play per day will be increased from five to 20—for a total of 100 battles
Featured Pokémon – Miltank
- Miltank will be guaranteed to appear as a reward encounter.
- In each set, the first win reward from the Basic track will be a reward encounter. The second through fifth win rewards will remain unchanged.
- All win rewards from the Premium track will be reward encounters.
- You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Miltank.
