How to Find Mage Caps in Valheim?
Finding Mage Caps in Valheim is sheer simplicity and takes no time. You will need to venture into the gloomy and dire forest of the Mistlands to pick up some Mage Caps. To locate the Mistlands, simply open your map and hover your mouse over any biomes with a dark purplish hue.
The Mistlands has foggy and dark areas, so you will need a Wisplight to light your way. To craft a Wisplight, you will need Silver Ore and Torn Spirit, an item dropped by Yagluth, the Boss of the Plains. If you’re equipped with high-tier weaponry and adequate armor, you can start looking for grayish violet Mage Cap in the Mistlands.

It can be challenging to find Mistlands Mage Caps because they spawn in random locations in groups of three. If you wander Misland for a while, you can find glowing and blue mushroom-like Mage Caps in Valheim. Once you collect them, you can farm Magecaps using a Culvilator, like Cabbage and Carrots.
However, note that the crops will only grow in the Mistlands biome and nowhere else. If you have a home in Mistlands, it counts as well. Consuming Magecaps in their base form will replenish your Eitr a bit, but cooking them into better recipes will be more beneficial. You can use Magecaps to make the following food with a Valheim crafting station:
- Magically Stuffed Mushrooms
- Mead Base: Minor Eitr
- Seeker Aspic
You should now have a solid grasp of where to look and how to get Magecaps in Valheim.
Valheim is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
