Super Missiles are an essential upgrade in Metroid Prime Remastered, and by simply going through the game, you should be able to get it. The upgrade can be found in Phendrana Drifts, at the Observatory area of the Space Pirate’s research station.
While traversing through the Phendrana Drifts, you will enter an area where they are fighting Space Pirates and exploring a research facility in the snowy region. To reach the upgrade, you will need the Wave Beam to open purple doors, and you must go through a combat gauntlet, defeating a bunch of Space Pirates along the way.
After defeating the Space Pirates, you should head down to the base floor and look for a screen with a circular symbol on it. Scanning the screen will reveal a platform where the player can use Leap or Morph Ball Bombs to enter a small sphere indentation on the wall. By using Morph Ball, you can activate the node, which unlocks another sphere indentation across from them. Repeat this process four more times, and you will activate a hologram of a solar system, revealing the Super Missile at the center platform of the top area of the room.
Before grabbing the Super Missile upgrade, you can check the computers on the base floor to find valuable Pirate Data for the Logbook. Scanning the planets’ holograms will also add more entries to the Logbook. Climb up the platforms, and do some tricky platforming using Space Jump, and once you reach the center of the room, you can jump into the platform to grab the Super Missile.
How to Use the Super Missile in Metroid Prime Remastered
The Super Missiles are one of Metroid Prime Remastered’s charge weapons. To be able to use them, you have to be on your regular Beam. Charge the regular Beam, and then when it is fully charged, fire a Missile while the blaster is charged, and it will fire a Super Missile. This will cost five Missile ammo, deals more damage, and can be used to open Cordite Doors.
