We have seen the concept of rebooting or remastering games lately. It has become sort of a trend in today’s gaming market. We got a remaster of the GTA trilogy, and it was bad. Bugs everywhere, glitches here and there. Gamers are becoming wary of this. And now, Saints Row Reboot just arrived, and its reviews are not good at all. The Saints Row remake promised it’d be a good game with a fresh modern take on the game. Well, it is, so far, quite the opposite. Bugs, glitches, a weird plot, and more issues are a huge disappointment for people eager to play the game.
Saint Rows Reboot Is Not What Anyone Was Expecting
Some major gaming news sites have already gotten their code to review that game. And oh boy, it has been a busy morning for them. Ever since the Saints Row remake was announced, people had high hopes. We were all waiting for a proper Saints Row reboot to prove that companies can do right by gamers. We got a glimpse of the story and more already. As we’ve mentioned, it’s been a tough year for gaming and especially those big titles that have been announced. It seems that Cyberpunk 2077 started this trend, and we don’t see an end to it.
The Saints Row Remake has some major game-breaking bugs right now. Yes, we can all hope for a day-one patch, but the thing is that this should not happen in the first place. The reviews so far look like this:
- Metacritic: 63%
- IGN: 6/10
- Open Critic: 66

On Metacritic, we have reviews from all scores. Yet, they are getting lower by the hour. The main focus for the low scores is that the game has a lot of bugs in its open world. Mix that with an uninteresting story and characters, and things are not looking good.
On the other hand, we have SkillUp, a well-known YouTube that reviews big games. He didn’t hold back and said everything bad about the game. Its story, characters, and bugs are breaking the game and more.
IGN mentions that the open world doesn’t help too much in regards to the freedom the player has. Despite the fact that you can customize your character, it lacks identity for both veteran Saints Row players and even some who’ve only played GTA.
More reviews are likely to come during the following hours and days, yet, this isn’t looking too hot. The Saints Row Reboot reviews are not good so far. Something to give players the chance to live again in this franchise that had a good standing in the past. So far, it seems that it isn’t happening. It is very sad to see another big title launch with bad reviews, bugs, and an unfinished state.
