But if you get tired of completing quests and fighting, you can do more relaxing activities like the Wheels board game. Also, you have to play it and beat all the Champions if you want to complete all the achievements in the game. So, read on to learn more about Wheels Heroes and Champions in Sea of Stars.
How To Start Playing Wheels
Wheels is a pretty fun board game that everyone seems to play in Sea of Stars. Its rules may seem a bit confusing to you, but you’ll have to figure them out, as the Clockwork Champion achievement requires you to defeat all Wheels Champions. But before you can get started, you need to progress through the story and get to Port Town of Brisk. Find a Wheels player and talk to him to begin playing Wheels in Sea of Stars.
Sea of Stars Wheels Rules
So, each Wheels player chooses two Heroes to attack the enemy Crown. They all have different types of attacks and abilities, so players can create different powerful combinations. But you cannot control them directly. Instead, players must spin Wheels in Sea of Stars.
During your turn, you can spin slots 3 times. When you like the result, you can lock certain reels and spin the rest for even more chances to win:
- Blue Diamonds – At the end of your turn, the Hero on the right gains the Energy they need to act. 3 Diamonds will give you 1 Energy. If you match more, then every additional Diamonds count as 1 Energy.
- Yellow Squares – It works the same as Diamonds but for the Hero on the left.
- Hammers – As you can guess, Hammers will help you build Bulwark. To do this, match 3 or more.
- Backgrounds – Some of the icons described above may have a blue or yellow background. They give XP to Heroes of the corresponding color. When a Hero gets 6 XP, they level up from Bronze to Silver and Gold. With each new level, the attack power of the Heroes increases. In addition, at the Gold level, the Hero can use bombs.
This way, you can earn Energy for your two Heroes. It is also worth noting that each Hero needs a different amount of Energy. You can see how much Energy your and enemy’s Heroes need for their next action by looking at the action rods next to them. When they go down, the Wheels Heroes will do their actions in Sea of Stars.
All Sea of Stars Wheels Heroes
As we said, every Wheels Hero is unique in Sea of Stars. But first, you will be given only Mage and Warrior. And if you want to get them all, you’ll have to fight Champion Wheels:
- Mage – The Hero attacks low and high in one turn.
- Warrior – The Hero attacks low.
- Archer (Beat the Champion in Port Town of Brisk) – The Hero attacks high.
- Priest (Beat the Champion in The Vespertine) – The Hero heals the Crown and energizes the second Hero.
- Engineer (Beat Champion in Lake Docarria) – Hero attacks low and increases your Bulwark.
- Assassin (Beat the Champion in Repine) – The Hero attacks the Crown, ignoring Bulwark and also delays the charging of the enemy Hero.
Heroes with low attacks can’t damage the Crown if it is protected by Bulwark. At the same time, Heroes attacking high often require a lot of Energy. Therefore, Mage is the best Hero for beginner Wheels players in Sea of Stars.Â
These rules seem really confusing, but all you have to do is spin the slots, charge your Heroes, and protect your Crown. When you drop the enemy’s Crown HP to zero, you will win. Nevertheless, much of this mini-game depends on luck.
That’s all you need to know about Wheels in Sea of Stars. This board game may seem complicated, but once you play a couple of rounds, you will become a pro at it. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to get True Ending.
