It isn’t something new to see leaks every day about many different titles, yet it is new to see some developers leaking their own games. While it happened recently for Persona 3 Remake, another company seems eager to show what they’re working on. Some users found through the official support site of Square Enix that a banner showing Star Ocean 2: The Second Story Remake was up. This clearly means the game could be getting a remake treatment soon.
Star Ocean 2: The Second Story Remake Might Be in the Works
If you didn’t know, the original 1998 game was a hit in the RPG genre. This title became loved by many as soon as it arrived in the West back in 1999. With a fantastic story and an unforgettable cast of characters, Star Ocean 2: The Second Story became a staple of the genre, so if it gets a remake, it’d be huge. While it has been updated in recent years, the game has never been completely remade before. The fact that a banner for the game was spotted makes many gamers hopeful.

Sadly, the banner is down right now and there’s no way to see the image Square Enix put up. If the remake does happen, it’d be nice to leave the recent improvements they made to the original title. With how the company has handled remakes, we wouldn’t be surprised to get one soon. As long as they maintain the same quality as the ones we’ve seen in these past years, fans of the Star Ocean series have a lot to look forward to.
