System Shock Remake Goes Gold and Launches on May 30 on PC
System Shock Remake is a rebuild of the groundbreaking original from 1994. The game’s remake brings together the iconic gameplay of the original. All this is guaranteed with all-new HD visuals, updated controls, and all-new sounds and music. It also has the original voice actor of SHODAN, one of gaming’s most iconic villains.
Nightdive Studios promises a revolutionary dismemberment system during combat and a revamped hacking system. A swarm of angry mutant creatures awaits players as they navigate all new areas using their skills to solve puzzles. Getting to the new sectors of the station will require the players to flex their hacking skills to get there. Along the way, players will encounter traps, puzzles, and secrets unfolding in the playthrough.
To make this remake as accurate to the original as possible, a team of industry veterans from games like Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect, and BioShock came together for this recreation. The whole idea is to make gamers who missed the opportunity appreciate the original. Additionally, the Remake will allow the dedicated System Shock 1 fans to have a truly fantastic experience in the game.
