Although, in most cases, Genshin Impact is free-to-play, there are pay-to-play exclusives. More often than not, this includes extra rewards, materials, and resources to help obtain more and stronger characters. However, one of the most popular things you can get with Genshin’s paid currency is new character skins. Skins, or outfits as they are called in-game, allow players to change how their Genshin Impact character looks. Although every character has a base outfit only a handful of characters have an alternate outfit available for purchase. With over 70 characters in the game and only 14 skins, a ton of playable characters are missing out on an alternative outfit. Here are 10 Genshin Impact characters who need a new skin in Version 4.0.
Venti
Although Venti was the first major release in Genshin Impact, the Ameno Archon has yet to receive a new outfit. Based on previous cutscenes and animations, there is plenty of material and designs for Venti skins out there. Hopefully, shortly, one of these options may become the newest Genshin skin.
Zhongli
Another character that deserves a new Genshin skin is Zhongli, the Geo Archon. Similar to Venti, Zhongli has been shown in various promotional materials wearing different outfits than his default attire. Additionally, some leaks have suggested that Zhongli may be next in line for a new skin. If these rumors prove to be true, that’s one less character in Genshin 4.0 on the waiting list for a new skin.
Nahida
Yet another Archon that needs a Genshin Impact skin is Nahida, the Dendro Archon. Although Nahida is relatively new, her popularity and relevance to the story make her a great outfit candidate. Despite her diminishing relevance due to the departure from the Sumeru region, a Nahida skin may still be a great decision. Additionally, this would be a great opportunity to bring the Dendro Archon back into the story through an event that showcases the skin.
Raiden Shogun
The next character in need of a new Genshin skin, and the last of the current playable Archons, is Raiden Shogun. So far, HoYoverse has strangely neglected all the Archons in terms of additional skins. It’s strange that the Electro Archon, despite being an extremely popular character, has been left in the dust in terms of new outfits. Hopefully, similar to Nahida, a new event could give Ei the skin she deserves.
Albedo
Moving on from Archons, we have Albedo, the Geo Sword wielder. Though Albedo has an amazing original design, seeing an alternative outfit would be a great change of pace. It would be especially interesting to see if an outfit could change the designs of some of his abilities. Creating a snow-form Albedo, and theming his skills after Dragonspine may be a great choice for the Chief Alchemist.
Xingling
Next, one of Genshin’s earliest characters in need of a new outfit is Xingling. Since Xingling is given out for free, tons of characters have access to the Pyro Chef. On top of this, many of the other free characters, like Kaeya, Lisa, and Amber have already been given skins. Seeing an outfit that changes Xingling’s pet bear, Guoba, into another kind of animal would be adorable to see.
Arataki Itto
The next character that could use a new Genshin skin is Arataki Itto. Like many of the others on the list, Itto sadly hasn’t been relevant to the story in a while. However, the character appears frequently for new events and side-quests. Although these are perfect opportunities for skins, Itto has yet to receive one. Plus, similar to Xingling, Itto’s pet bull, Ushi, could get an adorable outfit as well.
Bennett
Another character who strangely doesn’t have a new Genshin skin is Bennett. Bennett has always been a strong Pyro Support character since early in the game’s lifetime. He’s a key member of many players’ parties and works exceptionally well in Pyro teams. Sadly, although Bennett was featured in a new Genshin 4.0 event, he didn’t receive a new skin. Seeing a Clockwork Meka-inspired Bennett skin would have been great to see.
The Wanderer
Similar to Nahida, although the Wanderer is relatively new to being playable, he deserves a new Genshin outfit. The Wanderer has a very devoted fan base, as well as a huge importance to the overall story, due to his status as a Fatui Harbinger. Seeing an outfit that shows off his traditional Harbinger design would be a great touch.
Tartaglia
Finally, the last character who needs a new Genshin skin is Tartaglia. Similar to the Wanderer, being a Harbinger means that Tartaglia is a huge part of the story. Additionally, the character was heavily featured in the newest chapters of the Archon quest. Plus, his skin could feature his alternative shown off in his boss fight.
