Revealed during the Xbox 2023 Showcase on Sunday, June 11, the new Star Wars sequel, earlier announced by Ubisoft, has received the title of Star Wars Outlaws. A new collaboration between Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games will release Star Wars’Â first open-world game in 2024. This announcement came soon after recently dating the premier of the much-awaited Star Wars Ahsaka film. Following the amazing works by Lucasfilm in the series trailer so far, players can anticipate an amazing release in the incoming game. Without much revealed about the title today, Ubisoft will host a Star Wars Outlaws gameplay premiere tomorrow, Monday, June 12 during Ubisoft Forward.

The game is set in the time period between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Introducing cunning scoundrel character, Kay Vess, Ubisoft characterizes the game as one that will carry the greatest heists ever seen in the Outer Rim. Following this, it’s clear players will experience fantastic combat as they traverse the galaxy in a quest against other crime bosses and the empire.
Outlaws will follow Kay with her trusted companion Nix who are out to make a name for themselves in a galaxy full of danger. As portrayed in the Xbox 2023 Showase teaser, players will explore an endless universe while looting for items they need to survive.

Surrounded by an array of weapons, the developers have now only revealed combat through the use of guns. While its community is used to using Lighsabers, the franchise has not yet revealed them. However, since we know that the game follows outlaws, the characters might not have the ability to own one.
Therefore, there is a possibility that players will have to win one during gameplay as a quest. If that is the case, then the gameplay should already feel more exciting and bigger than ever.
