A new trailer by Feral Interactive today revealed that the mobile launch date for Alien: Isolation will arrive on December 16 for iOS and Android for $14.99. The survival horror game based on the iconic film series first launched on PC and consoles back in 2014, has also been ported to several other devices and consoles, including the Nintendo Switch.
“Alien: Isolation on mobile offers a mesmeric action-adventure on a damaged labyrinthine space station, lightyears from Earth. The stunning AAA visuals, arresting narrative and terrifying atmosphere of Creative Assembly’s award-winning sci-fi masterpiece have been faithfully replicated for phones and tablets. This is the complete survival horror experience brought to mobile without compromise”, said Feral Interactive, who also handled the Switch port of Alien: Isolation in December 2019.
They also assured that the upcoming mobile version of Alien: Isolation has been adapted and tailored for touchscreen play through the use of a bespoke, fully customizable interface via the official Twitter with additional gamepad support. The game will also include all seven of the game’s DLC packs.
The story of Alien: Isolation is set 15 years after Ridley Scott’s original film. It follows Amanda’s mission to uncover the truth about her mother’s disappearance, which ultimately leads her to a decommissioned trading station on the fringes of space where she’s forced into a terrifying game of cat and mouse with a dangerous Xenomorph.
Alien: Isolation is also currently available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360. It even received an FPS boost on Xbox Series X/S earlier this year, along with 96 other Xbox titles following a rollout of the console’s FPS boost mode, bringing the game’s FPS rate up to 60 frames per second.
Pre-orders for the mobile version of Alien: Isolation on iOS are now live on the app store, and are expected go to live on Android later.
