Today, a trailer for Aliens Dark Descent was revealed during the Summer Game Fest awards segment. Announced for release in 2023, the new tactical RTS game will again pit humans against the iconic sci-fi horror enemies, the Xenomorphs. Aliens Dark Descent will be available on both consoles and PC. So brace yourself as more announcements will arrive with more information regarding the Tindalos Interactive game.
The Aliens Dark Descent premier gave players a cinematic trailer where one of the colonial space marines is debriefed regarding a mission. Throughout the debrief, things go wrong, and not only do Xenomorphs make their appearance, but a new enemy makes a brief appearance leaving fans to speculate who they are until more answers are given. Right after, swarms of xenomorphs attack the squad, forcing them to flee.
Face off against the Xenomorphs in a new top-down horror game
The end of the trailer shows the space marine finishing his debrief and hitting the stop button while xenomorphs are slowly surrounding him. This alludes to the idea that humans may have already lost control against the xenomorph threat, maybe placing marines in a more desperate situation since there seems to be only a recording of what happened left. From the snippet of gameplay footage, Aliens Dark Descent looks like it could be either a squad-based game with RTS elements, akin to games like the XCOM franchise, or maybe an isometric top-down shooter like the Ascent, but time will give us more information.
Look out for the Tindalos Interactive game Aliens Dark Descent next year on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One & Series X|S with no announced price yet if you are interested in discovering more after watching the reveal.
