One of the newest and probably most divisive features of the new Resident Evil is the ability to stealth kill enemies. This wasn’t available in the first game, and some people like the new option while others think it shouldn’t happen. On the one hand, we think that it is logical for Leon to be able to do it, and it actually looks cool. On the other hand, this mechanic has some specific situations where you can use it, and we don’t see it happening too often. Still, it is something nice and original to see in the franchise, and we’re happy about it. So, if you want to embrace your secret agent persona in the game, here we’ll tell you how to stealth kill enemies in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

While some might think this mechanic comes straight from The Last of Us, we can’t complain about it. Using it is very useful in enclosed spaces where enemies haven’t noticed your presence. Doing it is simple as long as you keep quiet and don’t go in guns blazing. Here’s how to stealth kill enemies in Resident Evil 4 Remake:

  • Press Circle/B to crouch
  • Approach an enemy from behind
  • Press R2/RT when prompted

Doing these actions will let you kill an enemy instantly. This is truly an overpowered feature and a useful one. However, Capcom has added durability to Leon’s knife to not abuse it. So, if you’re going for a stealth kill, ensure your knife is in good condition, and don’t overdo it.

While having this mechanic is nice, it is better to use the knife when parrying. With how fast the combat is this time, we recommend waiting for the right moment to parry or block attacks. Doing that will also decrease the durability of your knife, but you’ll be protected. In any case, you’ll be able to find more knives in the game, so don’t be afraid to try this out when playing. And now that you know how to stealth kill enemies in Resident Evil 4 Remake, go crazy with his new mechanic, and good luck out there when playing!
