Banishers: Ghosts From New Eden got people very excited when it was announced by Don’t Nod Studios. The action role-playing game aims to deliver an interesting narrative while providing a relatively familiar gameplay experience. Don’t Nod was aiming to release Banishers: Ghosts From New Eden on November 2023, but it seems that is not going to happen now.
According to the developers, the reason for this shift is not because the game is in a subpar state. On the contrary, the main concern for Don’t Nod and Focus Entertainment is the extremely competitive nature of the year-end. And to be released alongside heavy hitters like Call of Duty and Yakuza is a surefire way of getting buried under giants.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Delayed To 2024
This may seem disappointing to some fans, especially because delaying games has become the norm ever since the pandemic. But we must remember that this will allow Don’t Nod to hunker down and spend more time polishing the experience so it stands a chance against the bigger names of the industry. If all goes to plan the developers will be able to realize their vision because of this delay. The new release date for Banishers: Ghosts From New Eden has been scheduled for February 13, 2024. So the delay is definitely not too long of a wait, especially considering how many games will be coming out until then.
Banishers: Ghosts From New Eden put players in a world where the lines between life and death have been blurred. The protagonist of the story is Red Mac Raith, and he is accompanied by his dead wife Antea Duarte. The nature of the story is not yet known, but based on the small snippets of gameplay, the game is inspired by games like God of War.
Banishers: Ghosts From New Eden will be coming out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X on February 13, 2024.
