Pokemon is coming in full force with its Pokemon GO events in August 2023. Every month in PoGo is full of raids, bonuses, and shinies. Spotlight Hours and Raid Hours are all too common amongst avid players. However, August celebrates many returning, new, and even live events, making for a packed month you won’t want to miss. Here’s everything you can expect from The Pokemon Company in August 2023: 

Glittering Gardents Pokemon GO August 2023 Event

• Schedule: August 5 at 10 am to August 8 at 8 pm.

In the Glittering Garden event, you’ll find abundant wild Grass and Fairy Pokémon. Plus, there’s a chance to catch the new Shiny Pokemon, Petilil. Here are some of the bonuses for Pokemon GO‘s Glittering Event in August 2023:

• • 1/2 Buddy Distance: Earn Hearts with your Buddy Pokemon in half the usual distance.
  • Increased XL Candy Odds: Get more chances of receiving XL Candy while walking Pokémon.
  • 1.5x Hatch Candy: Get 1.5 times the regular amount of candy when hatching eggs.
  • 1.5x Hatch Stardust: Receive 1.5 times the normal amount of stardust from hatching eggs.

Pokemon GO World Championship

• Schedule: August 11 to August 13

In Yokohama, Japan, 132 players will battle it out for a USD 47,000 prize pool. The Pokemon Company and Korea host this intense competition and other August 2023 Pokemon GO events. The ultimate showdown is where top competitors from TCG, VGC, Pokken, and UNITE fight to become the champion.

Pokemon GO Community Day Event in August 2023

• Schedule: August 13, 2023, from 2 pm to 5 pm.

This community day features increased Froakie spawns, shiny Froakie, and an exclusive move for its evolution Frogadier. During this Pokemon GO event in August 2023, you’ll spot Froakie more frequently in the wild, increasing your chances of catching it, even in its shiny form. Plus, if you evolve Frogadier during or up to five hours after the event, it’ll learn the powerful Charged Attack Hydro Cannon Water. This exclusive move adds extra value to your Pokemon.

Pokemon GO Noxious Swamp Event in August 2023

• Schedule: August 19 at 10:00 am to August 22 at 8:00 pm local time.

Pokemon GO has a few recurring events every week, month, or even through the years. However, Noxious Swamp is one of those rare new events in the game. The details about its bonuses or featured Pokemon have not been revealed yet.

Pokemon GO Live Fest Event

Schedule: August 26 to August 27

August’s Pokemon GO Live Fest event 2023 is the ultimate event of the year. Attendees will join the event in three cities, Osaka, London, and New York City, to celebrate the game and get access to exclusive activities.
