The official Shonen Jump editorial Twitter account has officially confirmed that the Hunter x Hunter volume 37 will be released for publication on November 4, 2022. Volume 36 of the popular shonen manga by creator Yoshihiro Togashi was published in October 2018 in Japan and May 3, 2019, in the west, so this release will mark nearly four years since the manga was last in circulation.

Hunter x Hunter Volume 37: What to Expect and the State of Togashi’s Health
As many fans know, the primary reason the Hunter x Hunter manga has been on hiatus for so long is because of series creator Yoshihiro Togashi’s ongoing health issues, which he has been very transparent about. Earlier this year, he announced that we would be returning to the drawing pages for the next volume of the manga and started up his own personal Twitter account to share updates.
There, he has both posted screenshots of pages he has been able to work on as well as given fans updates on the course of his health. Based on the confirmation from Shonen Jump of the release of the Hunter x Hunter manga volume 37 for November 4, 2022, it seems he is at least capable of releasing this volume and working on the next. However, any confirmation of volume 38 has not been affirmed at this time.
Volume 37 will not contain any of the new pages Togashi has been working on but will compile chapters 381-390, which had previously only been available online e and were the most recent chapters of the manga during the hiatus. Togashi recently announced plans to hire more staff to help with the production of future chapters. Togashi’s wife, Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi, has also been helping him.
The 2011 anime adaptation of Hunter x Hunter is available to stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll, along with Togashi’s other series, Yu Yu Hakusho.
