Almost going hand in hand, the Dungeons and Dragons DLC for Minecraft was announced today along with a Dungeons and Dragons Minecraft Monster Manual. These monsters aren’t just your standard mobs, but are straight from the creative biomes of Minecraft. Dungeons and Dragons included everything from Wolves to Creepers in the newly written Dungeons and Dragons Minecraft Monster Manual. The manual itself is easy to download. If you want to see the entries for yourself, simply go over to D&D Beyond to download a copy for yourself now.
During the D&D direct, the first one we’ve had this year, there have been some pretty exciting developments for fans of the series. Not only do we have an official virtual tabletop that can help bring scattered campaign members together, but crossovers for all kinds of other franchises. One unexpected crossover to appear however, is the uniting of Minecraft and D&D. For fans of both, this is a cute collaboration that offers some interesting insights and game features for both worlds. While Minecraft itself gets a DLC pack that introduces players to the world of D&D, fans of the tabletop series get a little taste of what the world of Minecraft would be like through the lens of their own game.
What’s In The Dungeons and Dragons Minecraft Monster Manual?
The Dungeons and Dragons Minecraft Monster Manual include five mobs from Minecraft, including D&D stat blocks. With the Monstrous Compendium, players can look into wolves, Endermen, Ender Dragons and even Creepers to better understand how they’d fit into the world of D&D. The stat blocks and descriptions aren’t all. Each mob even has some sketches and item descriptions that help really bring them into the new world, drawings giving life to them that both Minecraft fans and D&D enjoyers will appreciate.
For those looking for another monster to add to their dungeon or arsenal, these new stat blocks can introduce something unique and fun for your campaign. The compendium also includes items, such as the Ender Pearl and Blaze Rod.
