Pokemon Go is known for having many events throughout the month, whether that be Spotlight Hours, events that take course over a week, or weekend events. This weekend players will be able to participate in a GO Battle Weekend, a special event for Trainers. It allows players to participate in more battles than usual. The event is inspired by Clay, a Gym Leader for Driftveil City Gym in the Unova region, which is from Pokemon Black and White. Here’s everything to know.
Everything To Know About Pokemon Clay Event
The event will begin on Saturday, July 1, 2023, and run until Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. local time, allowing players to play through the weekend. During the event, players will have access to some pretty good rewards listed below.
- 4× Stardust from win rewards. (This does not include the end-of-set rewards and will not stack with the 3× Stardust bonus from Master League rotation weeks.)
- Free battle-themed Timed Research will be available. Rewards include the Clay-Style Hat.
- The maximum number of sets you can play daily will be increased from five to 20—for a total of 100 battles—from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time each day.
Players will also be able to participate in paid battle-themed Timed Researches, which will be available only during the time of this event. The research will reward 30,000 Stardust, one Star Piece, three Rare Candies, and three Rare Candy XL, but only for Trainers level 31 and up. Players can participate in these Timed Research rewards for $1.00, but all prizes must be claimed before Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 11:59 pm local time, or they will expire.
During the event, these two leagues will be active.
- Master League Premier
- Single-type Cup: Great League Edition
Below is what the reward changes will be during the Pokemon Go Clay Event. These will change after the event.
- Guaranteed Rare Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and up for their second win in a set.
- Guaranteed Rare Candy for Trainers level 30 and below for their second win in a set.
- Increased Stardust rewards compared to the basic reward track.
- Order of premium track rewards will be rearranged.
After the event ends, some changes will be made to the GO Battle League for the remainder of the Season. All rewards from the premium track will be adjusted to the same reward order as the basic reward track but will be increased in amounts. All Trainers that are level 31 and up will have the chance to receive a Rare Candy XL as an item in their second win in a set as a reward.
