HBO Max updated viewers on all the new content coming soon to its streaming lineup this May in a recent tweet. The list includes previously released titles like The Flight Attendant, which premiered on April 21st, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Underworld, and Zathura: A Space Adventure which began streaming on May 1st. According to today’s announcement, here is the official list of the new shows and more you can expect to premiere on HBO Max in the next few weeks.

The Staircase
Premiere Date: May 5thÂ
This bio, crime drama was inspired by a true story. The Staircase depicts the 16-year-long legal battle of Michael Peterson, a crime novelist accused of killing his wife. Colin Firth and Toni Collette star as the lead couple, Michael and Kathleen, with A-list stars Dane DeHaan, Sophie Turner, Parker Posey, and Tim Guinee all slated to appear in the eight-episode limited series.
Hacks, Season 2
Premiere Date: May 12th
Hacks is an HBO original comedy that has been making a name for itself since its premiere last May. Critics recently voted it as one of the best shows of 2021. The comedy follows a budding mentorship between legendary comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and arrogant young writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder). Season 2 will show the evolution of the comedienne twosome as they travel across the country for Deborah’s new stand-up act.
Legendary, Season 3
Premiere Date: May 19th
Legendary is a reality competition show featuring some of the hottest stars from the underground ballroom scene. Legendary pins renowned Houses of voguing teams against one another in head-to-head dancing competitions of fierceness and fashion for a shot at a $100,000 and the ultimate bragging rights of voguing “legendary” status. Since its 2020 premiere, the HBO original has featured stars like rapper Megan Thee Stallion on its panel of judges. Season 3 will see Jameela Jamil, Law Roach, and Leiomy Maldonado returning as judges, with Keke Palmer slated to replace Megan Thee Stallion.

The Accountant
Premiere Date: May 27th
This 2016 action-thriller stars Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, and John Lithgow. The Gavin O’Connor film is described by fans as “smart and entertaining” and tells the story of math savant Christian Wolff whose life is turned upside down while investigating mysteriously missing money for a modern robotics company.
