It has been confirmed that the next playable character to be added to Pokemon UNITE will be the Legendary Psychic-type Pokemon, Mewtwo.
Mewtwo was introduced back in the first Generation Pokemon games, which include Pokemon Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow. The Legendary Pokemon will be the latest addition to the Pokemon UNITE roster and is scheduled to be added to the game on July 21, 2023. It will also be released alongside a new game map.

Mewtwo Joins the Fray in Pokemon UNITE on July 21!
As mentioned, Mewtwo will be the latest addition to the Pokemon UNITE roster. The next upcoming playable character, Inteleon, will be added on July 3, 2023. Once both Pokemon arrive in the game, the roster will include a total of 56 characters.

There will be two separate Unite licenses released for Mewtwo in Pokemon UNITE that will involve its two Mega Evolution forms. Mega Mewtwo X will be released on July 21, 2023, while Mega Mewtwo Y will be released sometime in mid-August.
A new game mode is also coming to Pokemon UNITE alongside the release of Mewtwo. This mode will involve teaming up with other players to take on various AI-controlled Pokemon in a brand-new map. Paldean Tauros, Flamigo, and Bellibolt will be introduced as opposing wild Pokemon in this map.
Pokemon UNITE is currently available to download for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices.
