While attending the latest installation premiere of the Disney series— Secret Invasion, Samuel L Jackson shared the next possible project in his heart. For sixteen years, the Secret Invasion star has remained a constant in the MCU. Since the invention of Iron Man, Nick Fury played by Jackson has appeared in other superhero films including Spider-Man. Despite his years as a Marvel star, Jackson still has his eyes on playing another Marvel character. But who?
Samuel L. Jackson Talks Possible Marvel Roles
Samuel L. Jackson did not shy away from ET‘s correspondent, Ash Crossan when she quizzed him about his newest project, on the red carpet. While speaking about the new Disney + series Secret Invasion, the actor maintained that playing Nick Fury again was fulfilling. Though there have been ups and downs with this character, he couldn’t have wished for anything less.
Instead, what he hopes for in the future is to rack up more Marvel roles. The actor gushed about Fury’s all-knowing personae, before announcing how shocking it feels to not be in a Wakanda film. In a playful tone, he added:
“They didn’t ask me to go, but I’m still trying to get there. I need a ticket.”
Secret Invasion Series: Release Date, Cast, and Plot
Before his wishful thinking comes true, fans would have to watch Samuel L Jackson in Secret Invasion after the premiere on June 21. The actor would showcase his infamous Nick Fury role in the new series.
Those joining Samuel L. Jackson in the latest Marvel fix include Don Cheadle playing James Rhodes a.k.a. War Machine, and Emilia Clarke playing G’iah. Others are Olivia Colma who is Special Agent Sonya, Kingsley Ben-Adir playing the evil Skrull leader Gravic, and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos.
Stars on the series have been tight-lipped about what is to come, but Cheadle has expressed a thing or two about his time on screen. The actor has been in awe of Jackson since he got the chance to work with him. The co-star confessed that they have always hoped for a joint project long before Secret Invasion happened.
Without mincing words, Cheadle announced his expectations for the film while affirming that working with Jackson was epic. He hopes fans are excited, but that will be for viewers to decide when they watch it.
Secret Invasion got its inspiration from the comic storyline bearing the same name. It centers on the invasion of the Earth by evil Skrulls whose tactic is to replace noteworthy individuals.
Fans can expect six episodes from the first season, with the first arriving in about a week from now. There is no news on the title of the episodes and this is a norm. Usually, MCU shows are known following when it has been streamed.

From the first second, the trailer builds up anticipation, telling viewers that there’s more action to come. Nick Fury lands on Earth after many avoided calls, but his reason for returning is simple, it’s an emergency!
Nick Fury also gets to understand how much change the Earth had undergone while being warned by G’iah and Talos. Viewers also get a glimpse of this change too. There are flying drones, explosions, and what looks like human manipulations. But in the chaos one thing is clear, Nick Fury is here to triumph, even if it is the last fight.
