For DC Comics fanatics, the anticipation for The Flash movie will soon be over. For nearly a decade, the superhero film about Barry Allen has been in the works. But in February, the first official trailer for the film was unleashed. It proved that it might just be the best thing to happen to the DCU. As the release date draws nearer, fans gear up to see what they believe is a unique story with a sizzling plot. This includes some unexpected superheroes – somehow the number of Barry Allens has doubled.
Flashpoint Is the Plotline
This is not the first time that a second Flash has been seen by fans. In the comic book narrative known as Flashpoint, which the movie has pulled its inspiration from, viewers come to discover two Flashes. However, there are obvious alterations in the film.
Barry Allen, who is consumed with grief and wishes for a different past tries to cheat nature by going back in time to save his mother from being killed. His entanglements with time travel lead him to meet another Barry Allen, who happens to be a younger, inexperienced, and clumsy Flash.
At first, the original Barry is seen as almost chaotic with the thoughts of changing his parents’ fate, but meeting a new Barry makes him advance in maturity.
Ezra Miller Played the Two Flashes
Since Ezra Miller was announced as the Flash for the 2023 movie, he has had quite a controversial record. The actor has faced allegations of assault and harassment. However, Miller’s career has somehow survived – a luxury not many actors with such a track record have enjoyed.
However, according to all involved, the film star understood the nuances of playing two Barry Allens in The Flash. It was a difficult task, yet he readily embarked on it and seemingly succeeded.
Critics would argue that seeing Miller star as a vulnerable, somewhat shy Flash who cares deeply for his world is the direct opposite of what the actor has portrayed in reality. But that does not take away from the fact that Miller is perfect as the clumsy Barry and as the mature superhero, helping moviegoers to believe that they are two different people. On June 16, fans can decide for themselves if Miller really pulled it off.
