The end of an era is coming. In an interview with CNN on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? Quentin Tarantino on why his tenth movie will be his final one. It is not necessarily news that the end is near for the legendary Oscar-winning director. He made it known years ago that he plans to make ten films.
For Quentin Tarantino, his next movie will be the last for a mix of personal and professional reasons. After 30 years of beloved films like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, he is hanging it up for good. To him, he’s an “entertainer” and wants to leave audiences “wanting more.” On the personal side of his life, the 59-year-old director got married in 2018 to Daniella Pick, so starting a family this late in his life was a part of it, on top of it being time to “wrap up the show.”
“I’ve been doing it for 30 years, and it’s time to wrap up the show,” he said. “I’ve given my whole life to it. And you know, I didn’t start a family until late in life.”
Quentin Tarantino will make his tenth movie his final
What could be the final movie for Quentin Tarantino? Well, he has no idea, either. So, that is good news for fans not wanting him to make his exit yet. He has dabbled with the idea of a third Kill Bill, a Django and Zorro crossover, and a Star Trek movie in his bloody style. So, it could go in any direction. While he is known for his slower pace filled with extreme violence and lengthy, engaging dialogue, he could go in various directions, as seen from his varied work like Django Unchained to Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.
Thankfully for fans, he still has work to do. It was recently revealed he would turn to the small screen by helming an eight-episode limited series. No details are available on what to expect, except it would start shooting next year.
