If you’ve completed the Ruffian-Infested Village quest, then you know that all is not well in Lurelin Village. The place has been overrun, but thanks to you, all is peaceful. Now it’s just a matter of cleaning up, restoring buildings, and returning Lurelin to normalcy. The rewards for completing the Lurelin Village Restoration Project in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are substantial enough to make participation pretty easy. Below we’ll review each step on how to restore Lurelin Village, including what resources you need for each building and how to apply them.

Gather Restoration Resources for Lurelin Village in Tears of the Kingdom

To begin with the Lurelin Restoration Project, you’ll need more than a few resources to help the village along. While the buildings are mostly still intact after the horde attack. The village, at first, has no way of rewarding you for your efforts in the restoration. However, they promise to repay you as handsomely as possible with things are back in order. To begin restoration, you’ll need to gather 15 logs and 20 Hylian Rice.

Where To Get Logs

Unfortunately, you can’t get these logs from the beach that’s right there next to Lurelin Village. The restoration project requires stronger wood, which can be found in the patch of trees that lies just north of the village. If you’ve completed the Sifumin Shrine previous to starting this quest, you can access it easily by incorporating fast travel. Bolson requires full logs for the restoration project, not just bundles of wood that you can neatly stack away in your inventory. This means you’ll have to get just a tad creative with how you bring the logs to the work site.

Just as there are more than a few ways to complete a shrine or get from point A to point B in Tears of the Kingdom, there are plenty of different ways you can transport the logs to where you want them in Lurelin Village. You could always use Ultrahand to join them together and pick them up. Or, if you’re the type to use horses or machines, simply strap the logs onto something sturdy with wheels and pull it along. If you’re patient, you could always just take multiple trips, bringing the logs as you can handle them. Either way, once you bring all the logs required to Bolson on the beach and talk to him, that part of this quest is over.

Where To Get Hylian Rice

Oddly enough, Hylian Rice is hard to come by in Hyrule. If you’re insistent on looking for your Hylian Rice in the wild, there is a small chance that the Hylian Rice will drop when cutting down long grass. However, you can more commonly find this ingredient in a shop rather than out in the wild. If you’re short on this resource, consider some of the following merchants:

  • Hateno Village General Store
  • Gerudo Town Cooking Ingredient Store
  • Lookout Landing General Store
  • Zora’s Domain General Store

Now that you have all the resources you need to put the village back together, Link can help in phase two of the Lurelin Village Restoration project in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. This involves clearing debris and restoring buildings for Lurelin Village one by one. There’s no specific order to these tasks, so feel free to take them on in any order that you like.

How to Restore the Inn

To start with restoring the pirate ship-styled building that serves as the Lurelin Village Inn, use Ultrahand to clear the debris. You can use Ultrahand to move pieces one by one or perhaps fuse all the garbage together and drag it out of there to save some time. No building is required for this restoration, arguably making it the easiest. Once you remove the debris, the innkeeper will return from Gerudo Town and give you Voltfruit as a reward. You’ll also be able to use the inn for free from that point onward.

How to Restore the Restaurant

To restore the restaurant in Lurelin Village, you’ll first need to rely on Ultrahand to remove some crates from below a hole in the ship. Once you’ve moved the crates, cut a palm tree log and slide it into the ship’s hole. After successfully placing the log in the building, Bolson can take care of the rest. The family that owns the restaurant will reward you with a meal: Tough Seafood Fried Rice. You’ll also have free use of the restaurant from now on.

How to Restore the Lucky Treasure Shop

The process of restoring the Lucky Treasure Shop is similar to the restaurant but slightly more complicated. This building is rather tall, so to bring the palm tree up to the entry point, try holding it in the air with Ultrahand for at least a few seconds. After you do that, use Recall on the log so that it floats in the air once again, giving you time to grab it once more with Ultrahand, but from a higher standing point. Once you grab it again, you should be able to secure it in the hole where Bolson can fix the rest. The shopkeeper rewards your efforts with 5 Bomb Flowers.

How to Restore Lurelin Village Homes

There are two homes you can restore in Lurelin Village. One is the Village Head’s home. All it requires of you is to secure a straight palm tree log into the hole, similar to how you did for the Restaurant and Shop. The Village Head will give you an Armored Porgy for your efforts. The second home you can restore is Armes’ Home. This fixing process follows the exact same palm tree maneuvering method as before. Armes will reward you with 50 Rupees and promises to offer you any fish he catches. To check in on this promise, open the treasure chest outside his home from time to time.

After completing the quests in Lurelin Village, you can use services for free.

After completing all the repairs for Lurelin Village, you are established as the town’s savior. Because of this, you’ll have free use of all the village’s services. This includes free use of the Inn, Restaurant and free monster parts from the Shop. Thanks to your efforts, the town can return to being a bustling coastal place once more.
