Guardians of Galaxy Vol 3 is not yet out, and even its star-studded cast hasn’t seen the final cut. Bradley Cooper, however, was lucky enough to see a short snippet, and earlier this week conveyed the extent to which one scene, in particular, made her feel emotional.
Guardians of Galaxy Vol 3 Made Bradley Cooper Cry
While attending the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 premieres, E.T‘s Ash Crossan delved into Bradley Cooper’s Rocket character. She wanted a bit of a spoiler and the actor had no problem disclosing it.
Cooper aka Rocket Raccon confessed that tears welled in his eyes after seeing a cut from the film. The film’s director James Gunn already gave him a heads-up about Rocket’s end game. But it was not until he watched it that he realized the emotions. In his words:
“It was — emotional’s the right word. I watched a cut of it a while ago, and I cried pretty hard. I mean, it’s pretty hardcore. Little Rocket — went through a lot, dude. He went through a lot.”
Bradley Cooper Has a Solid Relationship With James Gunn Whom He Admires
Despite crying hard for a James Gunn film, the “Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3” actor is still in awe of the writer-director. On the red carpet, he maintained that Gunn calls the shots, and he would obey whenever. Cooper teased reprising his role as Rocket in the future if need be. He also mentioned Gunn’s expertise in DC Comics.
Cooper gushed about “Peacemaker,” and how John Cena embodies his role. He expressed his admiration for Gunn, adding:
“I’m just glad he’s working, making movies and television.”
Since 2014, Cooper has been a constant in the Guardian franchise. But in the new installation, Gunn claimed he was not the only one who voiced Rocket. Noah Raskin and Season Gunn will play a younger Rocket.
Meanwhile, fans should expect nothing but a brilliant performance from Bradley Cooper in the Guardians of Galaxy Vol 3. The trailer focuses on Rocket’s origin, spotlighting that he underwent some cruel experiments.
