Since the casting announcement for The Super Mario Bros Movie, fans have been sharing outbursts online about how it was “the worst casting they have ever seen.” In contrast, some fans held out hope for Chris Pratt to pull off our childhood favorite video game character Mario. While fans haven’t been that happy about the voice the actor used for the character before, it is now coming out that “Chris Pratt’s voice isn’t as bad as everyone thought.”
Chris Pratt Is Finally Getting The Praise He Deserves
The Super Mario Bros Movie has proven that casting Chris Pratt as Mario wasn’t a mistake, as the movie has now become the highest-paying animated movie; The Super Mario Bros Movie has broken the global box office record for the biggest animated movie opening…ever. That is an impressive thing for “the worst casting I’ve ever seen.”
Of course, the movie isn’t doing well solely because Chris Pratt voiced Mario, but this movie is a huge deal for most of the generations alive right now. If you are an adult with kids, sure, maybe you don’t still play video games – although you might – and you just really want to watch the movie because it was a big part of your childhood. And for those who are young adults or below, Mario was also probably a big part of your childhood and life as well, so it automatically makes sense for many groups of people to watch the movie.
Overall, Chris Pratt‘s voice in The Super Mario Bros movie differs from what we are used to in video games. It doesn’t have a thick accent, but at the end of the day, Pratt did an excellent job at the role, and he will be remembered for it for many generations as this movie is something big.
