Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 6 start in a few days, and it brings forth a completely Halloween-themed update to both games. Reaching the October, it is time to reveal the true faces of darkness, and it turns out that Spawn is coming to Warzone and MW2. There are also new weapons, maps, and Battle Pass that’ll reward players with brand-new content. However, most importantly, zombies are coming to Warzone and MW2 in Season 6. Here’s everything you need to know about the new chapter of Call of Duty.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 6 Battle Pass
The Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 6 Battle Pass is themed after Spawn. In fact, the new Battle Pass features both Al Simmons and Spawn versions of the character as rewards. That said, if you pay 1100 CP, you’ll be receiving Spawn operator and skins, while also achieving various prizes by progressing. This is while there’ll be enemies of Spawn in the Battle Pass as well, like the Creepy Clow Fender skin.
It’s noteworthy to mention that all the new weapons will be available to claim through the Battle Pass as free rewards. However, if you own the Battle Pass, you’ll be receiving the tuned versions of the weapons as blueprints by progressing through BP sections.
Zombies Coming To Warzone Battle Royal!
In the Haunting Season of Warzone 2, you can expect the addition of new game modes. These are all zombified iterations of the normal game modes, but still, very fun to play with the undead. The first and most important game mode is the Zombie Royal. In this mode, the dead players will turn into zombies, which will grant them new abilities. If they manage to get enough enemy kills, they can then use syringes to get back to life. The team that stays on the field till the last is the winner; just like normal BR. You can play this mode in both Al Mazrah and Vondel.
The second mode coming to Warzone is the Vondead. In fact, this is a reference to Vondel being overrun by the undead; turning the city into a bloody nightmare. You can play Lockdown on this map, with the addition of zombies who rise from the Graveyard the most. You can also play other game modes like Resurgence and Battle Royal, but zombies will be there to hunt you down. It’s noteworthy to mention that Vondel will be dark this time.
New Weapons and Equipment
With Warzone 2 Season 6 there will be a new event called the Soul Capture. In this event, you’ll obtain souls for killing monsters in the game, and you can then redeem these souls to get valuable rewards. However, there is more equipment coming to the game, like the Bloodseeker Grenade and Haunted Box.
The Bloodseeker Grenade is a tactical gear that you can loot on the ground. This grenade will then chase the enemy players and seek their blood to show you their exact location. In other words, this is an enhanced version of Snapshot Grenades. You should note that if an enemy throws a Bloodseeker at you, the best you can do is dodge it by jumping into the water.
The Haunted Boxes, on the other hand, are simply loot boxes that you can find on the undead enemy corpses. There are plates, ammunition, and more loot to gather from these boxes. However, you should know that loot boxes on the maps in Warzone 2 Season 6 can contain a jump scare.
Aside from the equipment though, there’ll be three new weapons coming to the game in Season 6. Expect the addition of a new Assault Rifle called the TR-76 Geist; a hard-hitting AR that can take down opponents with a few rounds. After that, there’ll also be a new member of the ISO family, called the ISO 9mm. This rapid-fire SMG can tear close-range targets to pieces, and you can slap a 50-round mag on it to make sure you get more than two kills in a row. And last but not least, there’ll also be a new Melee weapon called the Dual Kamas.
Zombies Are Coming To DMZ in Warzone 2 Season 6
When the Zombies mode was announced for Modern Warfare 3, nearly every player thought that this would replace the DMZ. This factor still remains to be confirmed by the developers, as the new open-world MW3 Zombies mode will exactly act like DMZ with the addition of the undead. However, seems like this predicted mode is already coming to DMZ in Warzone 2 Season 6.
In Season 6, DMZ will undergo a nighttime event that adds zombies to the game. However, there are no official mentions of new zombies-related missions in Warzone DMZ mode. But it seems like the new Soul Capture event has something to do with the DMZ mode.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 6 will start on September 27. Also, stay tuned for the Call of Duty Next event for more info on Season 6 Mid-Season content and new MW3 trailers and gameplay.
