This provides eager fans with their first glimpse of the series’ main characters: Katara and Sokka of the Water Tribe, Fire Nation Prince Zuko, and the titular Airbender Aang. Gordon Cormier portrays Aang. The image featuring him shows the iconic red-and-yellow outfit and the blue arrow tattooed on his shaved head. The snowy background suggests this scene occurs early in the story when Katara and Sokka discover Aang. He can also be seen holding his wooden glider.
Kiawentiio portrays Katara, dressed in a fur-lined blue parka, faithfully reflecting her character’s original design. Her braided hair and water-bending abilities are showcased in the image, with her hands manipulating water overhead. Ian Ousley takes on the role of Sokka, Katara’s warrior brother. His photo displays him wearing armor with an axe at his belt, while the background offers a glimpse of the Water Tribe’s architecture. Lastly, Dallas Liu portrays Prince Zuko adorned with a plumed helmet and a fire emblem. Zuko’s complex history, including the burn scar over his eye, is evident in this first look.
