GameMill Entertainment and Bamtang Games have revealed the first official look at Avatar: Quest for Balance. This upcoming action-adventure title will retell the story of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series in a fully 3D video game format.
The title will ask players to embark on either a solo adventure or a two-player co-op game as one of the nine characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The game is expected to be released on all major platforms later this year.
Avatar Quest for Balance Coming to Consoles Later This Year
Avatar: Quest for Balance is a new action-adventure title based on the popular Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Â The game will be developed by Bamtang Games, the developers of such titles as Nickelodeon Kart Racers.
In the game, players will relive the story of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, allowing players to explore the vast world of Avatar as one of nine playable characters from the series. Among the nine playable characters included are Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph.
The game will include puzzles that will heavily incorporate the use of the four elements: fire, water, earth, and air. It will also include side quests and plentiful interactions with characters from across the Avatar franchise.
In addition, the developers promise that the 18 chapters of the game can be played in any order so fans can experience their favorite moments throughout the series whenever they want. It is unclear at this time if the game itself will be open-world in terms of story progression and exploration.
